Extra-papillary Myelin Fiber of Incidental Finding: A Case Report

چکیده

We report an observation of uncommon form extra-papillary myelin fibers fortuitous discovery in a patient, 55 years old, who consulted for change correction. The clinical aspect the fundus led to diagnosis retinal front whitish placard with finely striated scalloped edge, partially masking vessels and located at level inferior temporal arch. These fibers, contiguous papilla or distant from it, have incidence varying 0.57% 0.98% according studies their pathogenesis is still uncertain. This congenital anomaly often asymptomatic, but can however be associated other ocular disorders.
